I’m the lady behind the camera, photographer extraordinaire and hopefully someone you’ll love working with. I grew up on a rural lifestyle block, went to high school in Kaipara, went to Uni for Photography in Auckland, I’ve worked in the Far North and now live in Whangarei. I love both getting my hands dirty and luxury things, as well as interesting people, listening to life stories, creating moments of joy, and all forms of art and crafts. And yes ‘Sarahlee’ is my first name.
I’m passionate about portrait photography and I’m here to create magic with you.

Awards and Accolades so far ~
In my role as a 5-time national print judge for the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photographers (NZipp), I find great honour in contributing to the industry and supporting fellow photographers. My accolades include multiple Silver and Bronze awards at the NZipp Iris Awards, as well as being recognized as a finalist and semi-finalist in the Australian Photographic Prize. I am actively engaged with NZipp; as an Accredited member, I have dedicated my time as a regional representative, accreditation panelist, marketing group leader, and speaker. My impact extends beyond organizational roles, as I lead workshops at various levels—local, regional, national, and international (online)—covering both the business and technical aspects of photography. Additionally, I am proud to have won in two categories at the Northland Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards.
