Wendy

Ever wanted to step out of the pages of your family photo album, to dress in the clothes of someone from the 1880s? This fabulous woman is Wendy. One day, as she was walking past, she popped into the studio with a photo of her great-grandmother and told me that she had re-created the dress in the photograph and that would I be able to capture her in the spirit of her cherished photo.

Smiling ear to ear, I said YES! Absolutely! I love working with other amazing creatives to see what they have made, what inspires them and of course, to create wonderful portraits together. And this amazing woman had also created a 1910s outfit in the most beautiful floral and army khaki. We captured some in colour but I just love to 'play' and wanted to match the aged photo that inspired it all.

But we didn't stop there to make the most of her experience and being in a photo studio looking beautiful with hair and make-up, she brought along her husband for a few photos at the end, and her fun-loving sister even jumped in too!

If have made something special, historical or fictional bring me your costumes and your ideas. I love taking your inspiration and crafting something truly unique.
