Handed down as family heirlooms.

With Mother's Day coming up on May 10th and with the uncertainty and worry that current events is bringing, I wanted to take a moment to talk to you about the importance of looking after your precious photos. Those you have and those you want to capture.

Whether you are giving them to mum or your children, you deserve photos that last and will survive being handed down as family heirlooms.

Having your portraits custom framed, we exclusively use Queensberry, will give you the best protection from;
- Humidity, which can cause warping of the photo paper or matt/mount.
- Fly spots, these cannot be safety removed without potentially damaging your print.
- Dust, which may stick permanently to the surface over time.
- Fingerprints, our skin oils are acidic can actually start to degrade a photograph over the years.
- Splashes or general damage, anything that may fall onto your print or dent it.
- They will be treated with respect, long after your gone the prestige of a framed photograph inherited by grand or even great-grandchildren, will ensure it is treated respectfully and not forgotten at the bottom of a box of snap shots with no link to you or your life story.

I also highly recommend local professional framers for the rest of your valuable pieces, and if budget is foremost then one off the shelf of a big box store. (but please note over a often short time cheap frames often will actually degrade a photo due to the glues, bleaches, acids and lignins used.)

A photo is never more priceless than when a person is no longer with us, so if you want to enquire about a photo shoot for when are able to operate in person again...
