One of the blessings of Whangārei being a small city, and Northland having just two degrees of separation, is the joy of reconnecting with people I first met years ago.

This radiant beauty is Kerry, who is celebrating her 50th birthday with a bucket list full of adventures designed to push her outside her comfort zone. Among these was something she’s always wanted to do - booking herself in for a photo shoot with us.

I first met Kerry over 15 years ago when she was managing the retail store I worked for. Her kind, caring, and down-to-earth nature stood out then, and it remains her signature today. She’s someone I quietly admire for her gratitude, enthusiasm, and refreshing honesty about being true to herself.
