TEACHING FELLOW PHOTOG'S
Do you ever feel like you have to hold it all together, that if you don’t take care of everything, it will all fall apart? Me too, at times, especially as a ‘solopreneur’.
This week, my partner and I traveled to Tauranga for me to host a workshop with NZIPP Waikato. We also took an extra day for ourselves to relax, explore the country, and shop for some much-needed furniture for our new house.
The concern of taking time away from work and hoping everything would be ‘ok’ upon my return was present. Along with the frantic ‘catch-up’ I’m currently doing to get my workload back on track. So, if you are waiting to hear from us, we haven’t forgotten you; we are just working our way through the ‘to-do’ list as fast as we can.
If you need to take a day or two off, do it. Don’t wait years like I did. You deserve it now. And after the break, you’ll be that much more energised to take on the work. Plus, if you do a photo shoot, you’ll have the most beautiful confidence-boosting images to cherish too. Sharing both the exciting (creating content) and the less exciting (spreadsheets and data) information for photographers, so that others can learn and gather the motivation to promote themselves with confidence.
Always a nervous time for me as an introvert to speak in front of others. However, I’ve learnt to push myself to achieve my goals. And sometimes that includes talking with my hands too! Thank you @ChristinaVandy for sharing your images of the night.
